Day Three of the Bloggers Meetup – Rose Hall & Negril
Here’s more video from day three of the JTB’s Bloggers Meetup weekend.
The Bloggers Meetup is a Jamaica Tourist Board initiative that was held at the Secrets Resort in Montego Bay. Thirty local and international bloggers and journalists participated in the event, which was designed to acquaint these writers with Jamaica’s great tourism product. The three day itinerary included visits to attractions in Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Negril.
On day three we first toured the Rose Hall Great House before heading off to Negril where we were hosted by Sandals Resorts. While at Sandals we took a very cool catamaran cruise along the coast to the world famous Rick’s Cafe where we arrived just in time for the cliff diving! This was surely one of the highlights of the trip as Negril’s west end is one of the most beautiful and spectacular parts of Jamaica.
The mix of local and visiting cliff divers who plunge into the ocean from the 50′ high cliffs were highly entertaining, especially the local diver who dove from a wooden ledge which was another 20′ higher!
Negril remains one of my favourite parts of Jamaica due to its laid back vibe and varied scenery which includes the seven mile beach stretch and the dramatic coastline of cliffs.
