Cockpit Country – the Green Heart of Jamaica

Here is a very cool video about a documentary being made in the Cockpit Country.

Please check it out and see how you can help to get it made.

About Cockpit Country: A Paradise in Peril

Miles of hiking trails. Scores of underground caves. Thousands of unique plant and animal species. Stirring tales of freedom fighters waging a guerrilla war against brutal slavemasters. All this can be found just a few miles inland from the developed North Coast of Jamaica, in a spectacular wilderness area known as the Cockpit Country.

Every year, millions of visitors from all over the world come to Jamaica to enjoy the white sand tropical beaches and all-inclusive resorts on the coast, but few venture into this corner of the island. In fact, most visitors — and even many Jamaicans — don’t even know this special place exists, nor that it is threatened.  Read more at kickstarter.com/projects.
