YardEdge: How would people who know you describe you?

Juliet: Sensitive, thoughtful, someone who thinks about things deeply (and maybe thinks too much at times), likes to talk about meaningful and interesting things, enjoys good company, a people person whose friends and family are important, someone who is on a ‘journey’ so to speak, who is interested in the human condition, spirituality and human potential.

YardEdge: What makes you happy?

Juliet: Being present and one with life/peace of mind, being with good friends and family, meeting new people, stimulating healthy conversations, having a good laugh, healthy activities such as yoga, walking, dancing, going to the beach or mountains being in nature, good food, traveling to interesting places.

YardEdge: What makes you sad?

Juliet: Over thinking, judgement and comparison, being ungrounded and stressed, unfairness and inequality in the world, ignorance, aggression and violence.

YardEdge: What really irritates you?

Juliet: Arrogance, bullishness, impatience, judgement, unfairness, selfishness, indiscipline, disrespect, dishonesty

YardEdge: Can you relate to this quote: “If you want to work on your art, work on your life,” What does it mean to you?

Juliet: Yes, as I believe art imitates life. When you work on yourself, you get to know and understand more about who you are, which then helps you to become much clearer about most things. You then are able to create (more) space for creativity and self-expression to flow through you as there is less clutter and interference. You allow yourself to become more of a creative channel as you are more available to life and able to see and welcome so much more.

YardEdge: What was the last book you read? What was it about?

Juliet: The last book I finished reading was The Witch of Portobello by Paolo Coelho. (I am in the midst of reading others as is often the case). It’s the story of a mysterious young woman named Athena, told by the many who knew her well or maybe not so well. The central question is “How do we find the courage to always be true to ourselves – even if we are unsure of who we are?” (FYI this description was taken from the inside jacket cover.)

YardEdge: What’s your favourite movie and why?

Juliet: Good question – I have many I guess but find it difficult to remember them all. Some fairly recent ones I’ve seen and liked are Juno, The Illusionist, The Pursuit of Happiness and then I thought sequels such as The Matrix and Lord of the Rings were great and timely.

YardEdge: What’s your favourite food?

Juliet: Some of my favourites are sushi, chocolate, pasta, fresh salads, fresh bread and pastries…

YardEdge: Anything else you want to add?

Juliet: Clarity & peace of mind….that’s where it’s at.

I knew her when we were teenagers and unfortunately lost touch. She has truly blossomed into an amazing human being. Greatness is almost always the product of great adversity. What you have seen to date from this remarkable person is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Juliet I really think you’re awesome, no bullshit (ooops). Opening this website this morning has already impacted my life in a positive way. The beauty of the art and the wisdom of the person.
