Hi,

My name is Negash Davidson i have a company called Represent(www.representdesigns.com) we do Graphic Design and Illustration.

What i’d like to talk to you about though is our line of graphic novels done under our line called Kree8 comics. This is geared at reintroducing local culture and folklore, to make it appealing to to both young and old alike. To garner interest again in our local culture and promote it in a positive light. To educate the young who are not knowledgeable on how rich and interesting our cultural background really is and to remember with the old. Beyond Borders is the first published graphic novel from the group kree8 comics.

The book is a story based around a young Jamaican man Kojo, who is down on his luck in life and ends up meeting a young woman from Germany, Katinka over the internet. The two start to gain interest in each other and schedule to meet and chat online where a romance soon blossoms. This will then lead to an inevitable meeting of the two, and when they do Kojo will slowly realise that there is something definitely different about Katinka, and it’s not just the culture or language. The book is intended to be a first in our line of graphic novels based on Jamaican culture and folklore; we view this as another interesting way of showing off our rich cultural background. Calabash sounds like a great event, I got to check it out! A side of Jamaica I want to see! Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a Seaplane service from Boscobel to Treasure beach !!!
